Use and maintenance of electromagnetic vibrating feeder
The feeder is generally suspended installation, in which the suspension lever of the vibrator should be hung vertically. In order to reduce the lateral swing of the feeder, the suspension rod of the feeder trough should be spread out by 10°. The 4 booms should be installed on a structure with sufficient rigidity. For large-scale feeders, in order to facilitate maintenance and replacement of the trough, a movable sliding frame is also provided.
Generally, do not disassemble and install during installation. There should be a certain swimming gap around the feeder after installation, so that the feeder is in a free state.
After installation, the feeder should be horizontal to prevent the material from shifting to one side during work.
The feeder tank can be installed horizontally or inclined. Its feeding capacity is proportional to the downward tilt angle, and the feeding capacity changes by 3% for every 1° change. In order to ensure the uniformity and stability of the feed, the feeder for the electronic scale should be installed horizontally to prevent the material from flowing by itself.
The gap between the iron core and the armature is an air gap, generally 1.8-2.0 mm, which can be appropriately reduced or enlarged according to the feeding amount during use. However, if the air gap is too large, the amplitude will be reduced, and the current and power consumption will be increased; if the air gap is too small, it will cause the armature to collide with the iron core and damage the components.
When determining the appropriate air gap, the working surfaces of the iron core and the armature must be parallel to each other to ensure that the line of action of the exciting force passes through the center of gravity of the feeder tank. At the same time, make sure that the center line of the electromagnetic vibrator and the center line of the tank are in a vertical plane, otherwise the feeder will be deviated when it is working. These adjustments often use feeler gauges.
3. Tuning of elastic systems
The tuning of the electric vibrator is realized by the number of leaf spring groups. First, tighten the top bolt of the leaf spring and loosen the connecting fork positioning bolt for assembly, turn on the power, adjust the potentiometer knob, and gradually increase the current, while observing the amplitude displayed on the amplitude indicator.
If the amplitude is too small when the current reaches the rated value, the top bolt of the leaf spring should be loosened a little. At this time, if the amplitude increases and the current decreases, it indicates that the rigidity of the leaf spring group is too large, and the number of leaf springs should be appropriately reduced. If the bolts that tighten the plate spring are loosened, the amplitude will decrease further, indicating that the rigidity of the plate spring group is low, and the number of spring leaves should be appropriately increased. If the amplitude is too large when the current reaches the rated value during the initial driving, and exceeds the rated value, it indicates that the rigidity of the leaf spring group is low, and the number of springs should also be appropriately increased. This is repeated until the amplitude and current reach the rated value.
Before starting the feeder for the first time, the potentiometer knob should be adjusted to the “zero” position, and the current should be gradually increased after the power is turned on, until the rated value is used to prevent burning of the control box and coil.
Generally, the feeder has been tested for no less than 4 hours before leaving the factory. After the installation and adjustment are completed, a short-term trial operation is required. During the trial run, the amplitude and current should be stable.
5. Adjustment of feeding volume
Adjust the amplitude of the feeder. Within the rated amplitude range, the amplitude can be directly adjusted by turning the potentiometer knob or inputting an automatic control signal, thereby steplessly adjusting the feeding amount of the feeder.
Adjust the opening of the silo gate, change the thickness of the material layer, and also adjust the feeding amount.
When the feeding accuracy is guaranteed, the feeding speed of a single feeder is as fast as possible. However, in an automated batching line using multiple feeders, the discharge speeds of these feeders must be matched with each other so that the various raw materials are evenly mixed.
6. Maintenance during operation
The feeder must always check the feeding trough amplitude and coil current during operation. If the plate spring tightening bolt is loose or the plate spring breaks, the air gap between the iron core and the armature changes or impacts, and it must be dealt with immediately. When the feeder just starts to run, the number of inspections should be increased appropriately. Pay special attention to the sound of the feeder. If the sound suddenly becomes louder, analyze the cause carefully.
The sealing cover of the vibrator must be covered to prevent the gap between the leaf springs from being blocked.
